Help With Web Pages - Cute FTP

This tutorial tells how you can use Microsoft's Frontpage Express to put your web page on the Web. The process of moving a web page from your computer to a web server where everyone can see it is called uploading. Frontpage Express lets you save pages to the web by simply using the save as feature under the file menu.

Our Cute FTP configuration tutorial shows how to setup Cute FTP for your EZNET account. To configure Cute FTP, follow the simple instructions below.

First, open Cute FTP and choose FTP from the menu bar. Choose Site Manager. You will need to save your account information so that you will not have to rekey it in every time you FTP.

Click on Add Site.

To log into your account, you will need to enter the following information.
Site Label: What ever you want to call this connection.
Host Address: Type in This is the dir that hosts your pages.
User ID & Password: In this box, type in your username and password. If you are FTPing to your "personal" web space, this is the same username you use to connect to the Internet. If you are FTPing to your domain account, this is the login name you picked when you setup your account with EZNET. If you are unsure what your username and password are, please email out Help Desk.
Click OK

Unless you see an error you should be connected into you home directory. You will see /home/yourusername. Double Click on the www directory. EVERYTHING that is going to be on your home page is now uploaded into this dir.
